I just replaced the screen on iPhone 7 and when I put everything back together the screen won’t even light up… I don’t know if it’s the phone or the new screen… it was fairly simple to make the connections and I double checked them again and they seem to be seated properly… any thoughts or answers?
Did you unplug battery before doing the repair? Sounds like either faulty screen or backlight filter blown. If you don’t see display at all then it’s probably faulty screen. If just very dim display then backlight filter is most likely blown and you would need to bring it to someone that does microsoldering for it to get repaired.
Most common fault—bad screen. Second most common–long screw damage from overtightening or mixing up the screws.
