I have a 1st gen ipad a friend gave me it works fine but the lcd does not light up and I’m not sure if it’s the lcd itself or the logicboard how can I find out which one is it and how much will it cost to fix. Thanks Craig
hayu2 unless you have the schematic, good multimeter and the ability to microsolder small components, I’d go with the LCD. There is a much greater likelihood that it is the LCD that is just not showing anything. For that repair check which iPad you have on here iPad 1 Repair and then browse the guides. Replacement cost for that is ~$60USD depending on where you check.
