Hi i needed to replace the broken back glass on my iPhone 8 Plus which involves removing every component. I’ve done a few iPhone repairs in the past so I’m relatively competent. Everything has gone well up to the point of putting the logic board into the new case. One of the stand off screws near to the screen connectors has sheared off and the thread is stuck in the hole. Now the screen does not light up. Would this be the cause of the black screen?

The first thing you need to determine is if you have an image problem or backlight problem. I do know there is one backlight circuit under that standoff. You will need to get the diode readings from the LCD connector and compare them with a known good board.
