Computer will run normally with no loss in speed or other hardware issues. The problems I am experiencing are as follows. For context I am a college student constantly taking my computer around with me in my backpack.

  1. When touching my laptop on the bottom left side the screen will freeze and produce an image that is linked. The only way to fix this is to shut down and restart the laptop. This issue now occasionally occurs when the laptop is sitting on a flat surface with no pressure applied but this does not happen all the time. Image of issue experiencing
  2. Three loud beeps will occur in unison with this freezing of the screen but not every time. From what I understand this means the ram is loose, I have made sure the ram is secure and it still happens but less frequently.
  3. When plugged into the headphone jack the music will play for ~5 to 10 seconds before stopping until I adjust the volume up or down.

I would focus on the RAM here. Your system uses an Intel HD Graphics 3000 graphics processor that shares memory with the system. I suspect either one of the RAM modules or the socket is bad. Try removing one of the memory modules and see if it helps. I would also make sure the case bottom is not pushed in. There is a elevated part of the frame just to the left of the socket area look at the cover to see if you have a matching mark. The right side rests on the power connector. If the swapping the modules around doesn’t alter things try swapping the memory with a fresh set. If that still doesn’t alter things I suspect you’ll need a new logic board here.
