Hi guys! I just bought a second hand iPhone X from a friend’s tech repair business. After checking teardown and putting back together videos of iPhone Xs, my question is: If when put back together, the rubbery adhesive that attaches the screen to the frame (aside from the screws at the bottom of the device) wasn’t replaced (so it was just clipped back and screwed), will that compromise the water resistance of the device? Thank you!
hello sorreda, this is a disposable gasket. Must be replaced with each screen removal. It is related to water resistance, although its actual importance is of secondary importance. regards,
