I bought an iphone that was said dead. I replaced the battery and did a hard reset and it started right up. If I remember right it would not charge at all. So I replaced the the charging dock and then it started with this problem. It recognizes when it it plugged in and says it’s charging but no power is actually getting to the battery. I don’t have any apps besides the default ones so I know it is not the problem where an app is using the power to quickly to be able to charge at all.
Aaron Lapp sounds like a bad U2 charging IC which would be consistent with the original problem of not charging and the no charging after replacing the lightning connector port.
since it says it’s charging, so the charging port flex would be ok guess, maybe it’s the battery problem?
