Hi :) I want to add a SATA SSD to my Late 2015 27” iMac (iMac17,1) that came with only a PCIe/NVMe blade drive. I need the SATA cable (data + power) to connect to the mainboard. I found this: iMac Intel 27" 5K (Late 2014-Mid 2015) Hard Drive Cable But I’m not sure it is compatible with my iMac since it seems to be designed for earlier models. However, the cable might be identical? Let me know where I can find the required cable. I could use a standard SATA cable for data but the power connector for SATA drives on the mainboard looks unusual. I’m familiar with assembling and disassembling this iMac. Thanks for the help and advice. Best, -J-
Here’s the needed cable iMac 27" Retina 5K Hard Drive Combo Cable (L15/17/19), Apple P/N 923-00664 If I remember correctly its a bit longer as the power connection point was moved.
