How much power is generated from the SATA connections on the 2009 Mac Pro? I want to see if I can power a pcie card.
Per the spec you have three volatages 3.3 V - Orange wires5.0 V - Red Wires12 V - Yellow WiresGround - Black Wires 4.5 Amps max (54 Watts) per logic board/power supply connection. I personally don’t like pressing a sustained load more than 3 Amps per drop. I also like to disperse the load across different rail lines if the power supply offers it.
