Hi @capann60z , As you have said that there is colour when viewing DVDs you need to prove whether the problem is with the cable box (what is the make and model number?) or whether it is a HDMI cable or a TV HDMI problem. Have you tried a different HDMI cable between the cable box and the TV? Can you connect the cable box to the TV’s component video input or the TV’s composite video input to prove whether the problem is with the cable box or the TV? Alternatively can you connect the cable box via a HDMI connection to another TV to prove the problem is with the cable box or the TV. Here’s an image which shows where to connect the cable box to the available alternative TV inputs (if it has suitable outputs and you have the necessary cables). Remember that you have to select the different input on the TV once you have connected it up.
