My Samsung WF520ABP/XAA washer died mid-cycle and stopped turning on. Long story (involving disassembly far enough to release the lock and get my wet towels back) short, the authorized service tech, after re-checking outlets for us, recommended replacing the main PCB. I ordered the part, which just arrived today, but noticed a problem connecting the new board: The existing board is part DC92-00321A, but the part I accidentally ordered is DC92-00321F, which appears to be identical except for no connector or controls for the steam heater. Questions are: Should I be hunting for the correct part, or will the one I received work (just with no steam)?Would leaving the steam cable disconnected cause any damage to the rest of the washer?I usually use the Normal cycle, which is in the steam range on the dial, but I never activate the Steam button on the controls. I probably, therefore, haven’t been using the steam heater up to this point, anyway, correct?
@pauley I would just go ahead and try what you have on hand. See if it works for you. If you are not satisfied or it does not work for you, you can always try and get the proper one. The missing steam function Should not harm the machine
