Chosen Solution
Hello, hoping someone have direct me on the right path. As the title says, Samsung WA52M7750AW top loader. The washer runs fine, but the select buttons, temp, spin, soil, pre load, extra rinse, etc, don’t work. You can’t change the selection. Power and start/pause, door lock all seem to work just fine Would issue be the touch sensor assembly or control board or main board? I’m leaning on the touch sensor assembly?
Hi all - Just had the time to follow up for this. I took the chance and ordered the part #PD00039136 Samsung Touch Sensor Assembly. Tore into the washer again to replace the touch sensor. The Touch sensor is mounted by double face tape, a small screw driver and working it, I was able to get it off. New one taped in place (comes with new tape on it) and connections all back in place. Fired it up and all the buttons worked. Just wanted to close this up and in case anyone else runs into this same issue. Thansk Andrew for all the help!
Generally speaking and more often than not it is a matter of taking a blow dryer or the like to heat up the tape to remove. Takes patience. Don’t want to break anything, naturally. Then a matter of taking a q-tip and alcohol to the touch sensor buttons and/or any sign of moisture or corrosion created from moisture gaining access to an area it is not supposed to. Highly likely you did not need another board BUT regardless, it fixed it and you don’t have that issue anymore…
