Chosen Solution
When connected through the surround sound through HDMI to my cable box the video on my tv flashes on and off then goes blank but there is still audio. The tv’s menu works fine when this occurs. Video works with all other inputs available on the surround sound. I’ve swapped out the HDMI cords with no resolution. Is this my surround sound? My cable box? Any ideas?
‘’’++shandywhite++’’’ try to connect another device on that same HDMI port. You can always do one device at a time. Connect your cable box without surround sound then connect surround sound without cable box etc. If that still gives you issues regardless of what is connected then you know it is your main board. If the issue does not show up with another device you know it is most likely your cable box/surround sound messing with your mainboard/HDMI.
