This one got sent into me for repair. I’m getting a Sad Mc face and error code 040090. I don’t remember what this code indicates. Anyone have an idea?
04XXXX = Memory test - Mod3 test Memory chip failure
Mayer We could have similar problems and may be able to help one another in finding a solution. First, where are you (I’m in Australia)? Second, do you get the sad safe following the “dong”, and before a disk is inserted? And third do you understand the other possibilities that Oldturkey03 suggested (nonsystem disk in the default drive etc). As far as I can tell none of these are relevant because the 04 prefix to our errors (mine is 048360) means a RAM chip on the logic board. Looking forward to your reply. Hi, my beloved really early 128k comes up with a SadMac code 041004 and some fragments on the screen. I did a quick video on this issue: https://youtu.be/Cql6E2PxGj0 Any advice would be great - if it’s just the RAM (I fear so) where to get them? Marcus (@marnoweb.de)
