Hi there I have and LG55LB700V-ZG, similar dark screen issues however mine will be running fine for sometimes a few days then suddenly just goes almost pitch black if you get close the image is faint sound is perfect…if I turn it off and back on can sometimes be fine for 20 mins or so and happens again and happens more and more frequently until I leave it alone for a while Can anyone help please. johnfox90 since you keep sound but lose the picture (actually the backlight) this is most likely an issue with the LCD backlight strips. Very common failure with LG TVs. Of course you want to make sure that you check the power board for proper voltages but ultimately, by what you are describing, sounds to be the LED backlights. You will have to disassemble your TV and the panel as well to replace those. Not a terribly difficult job, just take your time and keep the screen flat so it doesn’t bend and crack. For the proper strips it will help if you get the panel information from the label on the back of the panel.
