Chosen Solution

I have a tmobile motorola defy android, which I like to have rooted. any help I’ll be grateful :-)

A guy posted great videos of how to replace and repair a broken touchscreen glass on the Defy also: Repair Video part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcz9J9GAw… Repair Video part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-GIPzdDX… Repair Video part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=falMqWsSe

The videos provided offers good solution, but Minimal Adb and Fastboot is only required instead of whole Android SDK to execute the commands. It is minimal in size of only 1 MB. Download it from Xda or follow the link . Minimal adb and Fastboot for android

hi Juno, You can use root master apk for that. It helps to root Android devices from cup cake to Lollipop. Since you system is Eclair it may help you suerly. Download latest Root Master ApkInstall the application as usualOpen the Root Master and Click on “Root” buttonIf the process is completed a success message will be displayedFinally, download the root managing tool to manage the rooted deviceThough SuperSu app is recommended the desired app can be downloaded  Note: Do not forget to enable “Unknown Sources” in device security settings if it has not been enabled previously.
