One drop of sirup went on my ROG phone 5. I have dried it and works fine, but my button is sticky. Can I clean it with this product? http://www.kontaktchemie.com/koc/KOCprod

Hi @youchan3070 , You can use it but personally I wouldn’t do so until the battery has been disconnected from the phone’s systemboard. You don’t have to remove the battery, just disconnect it. There is always power available at various points on the systemboard, even when the phone is switched off. The power button is not a power isolating button. Its function is to signal what the user wants to happen e.g. turn on/turn off etc. not connect/disconnect the power supply. Even Isopropyl Acohol will conduct electricity when it is wet so if you intend spraying this onto the Power button then some may seep through onto the systemboard and this may create problems e.g. unintended electrical circuit paths that may damage some components. Also spraying the button merely removes the syrup from the button actuator, it doesn’t get rid of it, it merely disperses it elsewhere. It needs to be wiped off using the alcohol and a suitable tool e.g. a Q-Tip

90% Isopropyl Alcohol is good to use because it evaporates quickly and leaves no residues, conductive or otherwise after it has evaporated. It may be safer to open the phone and disconnect the battery and then clean the Power button etc. After it has been cleaned and the alcohol has completely dried, then reconnect the battery and reassemble the phone. Here’s a teardown video that will help.
