Hello, As said in the title, I was trying to remove a damaged lvds connector to solder a new one and had a hard time desoldering pins, probably due to a combinaition of my poor soldering skills and cheap solder iron (first time trying this kind of repair). Anyway I have no idea how to go about fixing this now. I suppose I’ll have to make some kind of copper jumper but I am clueless about that. Any advice ? Is my board ruined ? Thanks in advance
I could spend a while typing out what to do but this site is quit good and you should get the jist from it . http://www.instructables.com/id/Repairin… these videos are also well done https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAG0Wk-l… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mba1fnQc… Part 1 and 2 . In the future when removing anything with multiple solder points its best to use a heat station to get even heat over the entire area and lift evenly never pry. Use Kapton tape to protect the surrounding areas. Hope this helps
