Hello I accidentally ripped the microphone ribbon cable from the motherboard, is it possible to fix this or am I going to have a non working microphone forever?
Well, the good news is this is repairable! You pulled the socket off the logic board! The ribbon cable looks OK its just still in the socket. This is a tricky repair! First you’ll need a new connector and you need a small nozzle hot air rework system to first clean up the solder pads as you still have the connectors solder pins still on the pads and then mount the new connector. You’ll need to find someone with the part, skills and tools to do this repair.
