Hi, since Saturday, the last 5mm of my Display on the right side doesnt respond to my touching. For example, I’m not able to write the Number 0 or the Quote-Sign. The Number 9 is still working… In my Adressbook I can scroll down in the middle of the Screen but I’m not able to use the Fast-Scrolling which is on the right Side of the Screen. There are no Problems with the Graph, no white Lines or something like that. I replaced the Display quite a Year ago with a Display from the iFixit-Store, until last Friday everthing worked fine, no dropping, no water or something else happend to the Smartphone. best regards
Chances are the display is simply defective. The first thing to try though would be to re-seat the screen connectors and while you’re at it, double check them for debris or damage. Even though the phone had an uneventful life, small drops tend to be forgotten quickly but do add up over time. Follow this guide. If that all looks good, then you may have a screen issue. I’m not sure what warranty applies here as iFixit does sell some stuff with lifetime guarantee so I would contact them (help.ifixit.com) to find out more.
