My macbook retina 2012 has the fan noise problem. https://goo.gl/d2wdjt The link is the fan sound. After I cleaned the dust, the problem still work. Could anyone give me a step by step guide to fix it?

Well, that’s a new sound for me but it does sound like a fan or something obstructing the fan. Think of a playing card in the spokes of a bicycle. Next determine if it is the right or left fan then replace it or remove the fan, find the offending playing card (probably a screw) and get it out. The Relevant Parts are listed in links at the start of the guides. Here are the guides: Right Fan: MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2012 Right Fan Replacement Left Fan: MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2012 Left Fan Replacement P.S. If it is a screw look for where it’s supposed to go in and put it back in place.

I had this problem, the solution was simple on my case, the fan was not in line (I think when I drop my laptop) the force was strong enough to move the fan from the right line or position, after open the laptop and clean the fan I notice the fan was not in line I push the fan and a hear a “Click” sound, after that the fan was able to move better. I close the laptop, and now is like brand new. ( I drop my laptop from my bed to the floor) was not a hard drop but I thing the noise begun there. just I notice a few months later. Simple solution for my case. I hope this information is useful for someone with a similar issue.
