There are a few different issues that can explain this: First your cable box may not offer the needed output. You’ll need to speak with your cable provider on both the box as well as your contract as it too may not offer you 4K. Lets assume you have the correct gear and the service you have should be offering you 4K. This gets into the programing you are watching. You maybe watching a 4K station but the given show (presentation) is not offered in 4K. Review the online TV guide to see if it is indeed 4K.
