i bought this phone at a flea market and its locked how can i reset settings

A bit odd, but it may work. You will lose all your contacts on the phone, if it does work ;) From another phone, call your locked number. Answer it on the locked phone, then hit the “back” button. This gives you full access to the phones menus etc. Hang up on the phone you called from. Now, go into Applications / Settings / Privacy / Factory Data Reset.
