Hi all. I have a 2011 21.5” iMac answer it’s all set up and ready to go, except when fixing it I broke the v-Sync cable, I’ve been having trouble finding any for sale. So I’d love some help from the community to see if they know where I can buy some from? Cheers
@quinn218 do an online search for apple part number 922-9799 or Apple manufacturing number 593-1389-A which is the Cable V-Sync/LCD Temp Sensor for an iMac 21.5inch Mid 2011. Readily available and not overly expensive.
Finding discreet display parts is always tough. You’ll need to talk with one of the larger parts houses which recycle used systems. As an example in the UK TheBookYard I find them very helpful for odd requests. It may take a bit of time as they would need to strip down a bad display they get in for the part. Otherwise you’ll need to replace the entire display assembly.
