My Xbox One S was recently plugged in during a lightning storm and got struck by lightning. This knocked out my T.V, Wifi, and most importantly, my Xbox One S. I called support but they said it’s not covered because “nature is not their fault.” So I’ve ordered a new one but I was wondering if I could open up the Xbox one S struck by lightning. If anyone has done this already or has found a guide somewhere would you please help me out.

- You should never tell a support technician that handles warranty that an act of nature damaged your electronics, you say something like “I have no idea what happened, it just wouldn’t turn on one day”.
- Yes, you can ifixit have a guide for tearing down xb One S, however the damage may not be exclusive to the PSU, so replacing it may not work, but it’s defiantly worth a shot! Let me know how you get on.
