I am about to replace the hard drive in my power book aluminum 12¨but I ´ve lost the original os disc . Can I downloaded from the web?
Unfortunately you cant download your “OS” online, legally that is. I would recommend that you use SuperDuper or CarbonCopyCloner and just “clone” your old drive into the new one till you are ready to buy your installation disk.
You can also call apple support and ask them if they can supply you with a installer for your macbook. You could also just buy 10.6… you can get it as low as $25 on amazon or $35 direct from Apple.
