iPod Classic 60Gb Model A1099 If I replace the hard drive in my 60Gb iPod Classic with a 240GB Toshiba MK2431GAH hard drive, do I follow the same directions as the standard hard drive replacement?
That drive should work. Here’s how to do it: iPod 4th Generation or Photo Hard Drive Replacement Here’s how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYZqTvlT…
Yes-as long as it’s the same connection (which it is), it will work. But if you haven’t bought that drive already, I recommend this: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-850-EVO-I… + https://www.amazon.com/SMAKN-mSATA-PCI-E…
Yes, assuming the connector is the same on both hard drives, and that it is compatible with the iPod (some of them have a limit as to how much memory they can see). You might also consider replacing the HDD with an SD card, I’ve done this myself recently and it makes a noticeable difference. This is the shop I bought the kit from: https://www.iflash.xyz/store/
