Hi guys, again I need your help. I need to be certain that logic board [661-4955] will fit my A1260 MacBook Pro 15" 2008, I was trying do research but I’m still not certain. Does anyone know of a site that touches this topic, is there like a chart or something for which parts fit which computer? Thank you! This logic board appears to be one that will work. It would be nice to find a site with interchangeable parts but I haven’t run into one yet. Stay with board that come out of the model number. Looks like you can use a 2.2, 2.4, 2.5 or 2.6 board. This model also had Nvidia GPU issues. If you don’t mind me trying to get6 you fixed for free, please tell why you think your board is dead. We could also use the last three figures of your serial number.
I just had the same issue happen in September where the board stopped working and they replaced it for free because I informed them of the notice. It happened again 20 days out of my 90 warranty and they said they could do nothing. It would cost me $350 for them to replace it again. Now I am stuck looking for the board for cheap so that I may replace it myself. Let me know if you find a cheap place that I can order the board. I would appreciate it! I love my Mac but Apple really disappointed me this time around.
