I watched a video on replacing this part: https://www.ebay.com/itm/AC-Compressor-C… He didn’t mention if I needed to recover the refrigerant first or not. The process of changing out the valve seems simple enough, but I don’t normally work on AC systems. Do I need to take this to a shop to have the refrigerant recovered? 2007 Jetta Wolfsburg Edition
Yes. It’ll need to be recovered prior to this repair. After that you can do the rest yourself, good luck!
