Hi there! So the current display in my laptop is the B156HAN08.3 which is a 1080p 144hz screen that uses the eDP 1.4 port and I was looking at buying the same display for external monitors when I saw the B156HAN10.0. It’s also a 1080p 144hz screen but it also has HDR. It also uses the eDP 1.4 connector but also says it needs HBR 2 in panelook. Would I be able to use this display with my laptop. Laptop is the XMG PRO15 (Early 2019) / Clevo PB51EF-G
As long as the panel is like for like in regards to resolution and pinout, you shouldn’t have a problem doing so. You begin to run into issues even with iDP once you bump the resolution beyond 1080p.
