Chosen Solution
Just wondered where repair shops get their iphone and iPad screens from in China? I am based in the UK and buy from a supplier in the UK. I buy OEM screens but notice that a screen for an iPhone 5s costs me about £20 to £25, my rivals are doing screen replacements for £25 to £30 so they must be getting the screens for much less than me? Can anyone recommend any Chinese suppliers with good quality parts on aliexpress or Alibaba? Thanks
Offer your customers both options. High quality OEM at a higher cost and knock offs at a lower price. Personally I would contact Henrik Huseby in Norway. He seems to buy at lot: https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/artic… When pricing a part out to a customer I often use the iFixit price list on parts without logging in. https://eustore.ifixit.com/en/Parts/iPho… As a professional. you can apply for a professional account from iFixit and get better pricing according to the volume you do with them.
Well, its basically a game of you get what you pay for when it comes to part replacements. Your competition might be getting these screen replacements for less, but that doesn’t mean those replacement screens are good quality. Cheap replacement parts are usually “too good to be true” and fail within a few months to a year. I would not want your customers coming back to you angry because their screen stopped working again or broke from a very small tumble soon after replacement, and neither would you want this to happen. If you have more happy customers then your competition, you’re doing well in my book.
