Chosen Solution

Hello, my 6s has been sitting in a drawer for almost a year with a cracked screen (bottom part of the screen does not work). I decided to change the screen and now facing a strange situation: The new screen works perfectly when the phone has been “factory reset” and is in “setup” (choosing country, agreeing to terms, etc) up until I choose “Get Started”. As soon as I press “Get Started”, the screen turns off. If I press the power button, the screen lights up and shows everything for around 0.5seconds and then goes black (the screen does not turn off - it just shows nothing but black color). If I reset the phone to its factory settings via iTunes, I can see the screen again till I finish setup and click “Get Started” again. If I put the original screen back, everything works (except for the bottom of the screen which does not respond to the touch but it was the original issue). Does anyone have any idea what could it be? At first I thought I fried the backlight but I disconnected the battery before changing the screen + the original screen works and the new one works when in setup menu. The new screen also cannot be bad if it works perfectly while in setup menu. I have not found this type of problem anywhere - maybe someone knows what it is about. Thank you in advance

I have not seen this issue either which to me would point to a faulty screen. The old screen doesn’t act this way so return the screen you purchased and get one from a different supplier.
