Both variants of the A1286 come standard with an LED-backlit 15.4" widescreen TFT active-matrix “glossy” display (1440x900 native resolution), but also available via custom configuration is a"high-resolution glossy" 1680x1050 display and a “high-resolution antiglare” 1680x1050 display. Either way they all should have LED backlight. Converting a screen from another model to suit the A1286would seem highly unlikely
