I have a HP 15ac151dx laptop. And i am looking for the hinges and the screen cover(Not the screen), but the plastic screen casing which houses the screen. Yes its over 2 years old thats why i am looking for replacement parts. I was surprised that this website does not have replacement parts for old computers and cell phones but has for new ones. Please let me know where i can find the replacement parts: Hinges for the screenScreen cover panel which houses the screen.(I do NOT want the screen, please do not share me a link to buy a screen, it would be really dumb if you do that)
Hi, Here’s a link to the service manual for your laptop, taken from this webpage. Scroll to p.24-25 to find the part numbers for the hinges and the display enclosure. Search online using the appropriate part number only, in the search box of your browser, to find suppliers of the part. p.s. we’re not all dumb, we can read! Update (10/28/2018) Hi The right answer was provided. It tells you how to find suppliers of the parts All you just had to do was do what was stated above: (presumably you understood that you had to download the manual to get the part numbers from it) ‘‘Scroll to p.24-25 to find the part numbers for the hinges and the display enclosure.’’ ‘‘Search online using the appropriate part number only, in the search box of your browser, to find suppliers of the part.’’ So for hinges insert 813950-001 into browser. The result when you do? You get a list of suppliers of the part. For an example see the image below
(click on image to enlarge for better viewing) For display enclosure insert the appropriate number for your model, (Item #7 on p.25 of the manual), into your browser. You didn’t state the colour of the display enclosure so that’s why you’ll have to do this one.
