Chosen Solution
Do not attempt to swap the screen while the phone is powered on or the battery is plugged in. You will end up blowing the backlight filter resulting in no backlight. And if that happens someone with micro-soldering experience would have to replace the backlight filter. Chances are the replacement screen is faulty if the old screen works still.
