Chosen Solution
So I am replacing my original keyboard and had to pry it out popping the rivets that held it in place to the upper case. I also had to tear off the black membrane that protects the back of the keyboard, separating it from containing the motherboard. I ordered and received a replacement keyboard from ifixit, however there are no screws or membrane. What size screws can I use? Where can I order them? Where can I order the protective membrane that seals and separates the keyboard from the motherboard? Thanks for any help David
You can use the a1278 keyboard screws. I’ve been using them on the a1466 and a1502 keyboard replacements. As for the black sheet behind the keyboard that is the backlight film.
