Hi all. I ordered a replacement battery for 2019 Macbook Pro 15in from ifixit last November. I have been storing in room temperature and no sunlight. Is this battery still in usable condition after 4 months of no charge/discharge cycle? Thanks
Sure, batteries are usually sold charged at 70% capacity, that is considered ideal for storage purposes. When disconnected from devices, Lythium batteries don’t lose charge easily and four months can be considered a short time with very little to no degradation. Once set in place on the PC though, battery has to be charged every now and then to keep it healthy.
