Hi. I just replaced the dead battery on my iPhone 6s Plus, and installed a battery that is made by a third party company. It did turn on and the phone works perfectly fine. (Before the replacement, it was stuck in the drained battery page but now it works ok) However, when I charge the phone, it would not charge itself. I know for sure it is not the fault of the cable because if I plug the cable when the phone is off, it automatically turns on the black Apple logo on the white background and boots. Do you have any idea why this is the problem? Thank you!!
If the phone wasn’t charging your old battery and is not charging the new battery it would point to a faulty charging chip on your phone known as Tristar. A Tristar replacement is straight forward but does require microsoldering skills and equipment. Most repair shops offer this service and usually have access to a Tristar tester so they could determine if it has failed without taking the phone apart.
So I have a 6s Plus too and the battery just needs to stay on the charger for a while because when it dies and has not been turned on for a while it takes like 12 or 7 hours to charge to 7 or 4% so maybe wait a while if that dosen’t work take it back to the place you got it from and like return it and go to your phone service or apple and get a new battery I hope this
