We got a used Macbook a couple of weeks ago that wasn’t holding a charge long. So I decided to change the battery, but as soon as I plugged in the new one, there was smoke coming out of the area indicated. I pulled it out immediately, then put it back in, and I guess it was done burning up because it didn’t smoke this time. But it’s definitely not working now when I plug it in. Help!
Oh God. Well… good luck I guess… because that board is fried. I’d have someone else do it, that’s for sure
I would defiantly return that battery. Please put the old battery back in and down this gem of a program called Coconut Battery and post your results. https://coconut-flavour.com/coconutbatte… This may help us to diagnose your problem.
