I was working on a cracked apple watch and sadly damaged the LCD while attempting a repair, and had to replace the screen of the device. I replaced the screen with one from an iCloud locked device, but the screen would not turn on. I thought the issue might be the screen itself, so I decided to buy another screen and try that out. That one did not work too. The watch still vibrates when it turns on but the screen stay off. The watch does not make any sounds when trying to play a sound through the find my app. To add, I tried to replace the battery to no avail and I also tested both screens with another watch and they both worked. The LCD wiring does not look damaged. Does anyone know what’s going on with this watch and how to fix it?
Test the battery connector to make sure the correct voltages are running. If they are not, micro solder a new connector from a donor board. If running the correct voltages, replace LCD cables. The screen will not turn on or boot loop if something is stuck in the connector on the screen, corrosion, short, or if the pins are bent out of place.
I found that the LCD cables were damaged. Once they are replaced I will update this
I’m trying to replace the paper tin cables like glue that are behind the lcd cables and I don’t know how you call them or even if I can buy the is for a series 4 Nike edition cellular and gps I rink they ere called ribbons but I’m not sure
