Just replaced my iPhone 6 LCD screen, the repair went flawlessly aside from now about a quarter of ,y screen is black with a few rainbow wiggle lines. I can still type and use the areas that are covered by the black out…so I’m just wondering where I could have gone wrong.
Sounds like a LCD connection issue. First try reseating the LCD connector for the screen. Does the old screen still showed display before? If yes then try the old screen and see if the issue still occurs there? If it doesn’t display the issue on the old screen and you already tried reseating the screen ribbon cables then the replacement screen is defective and at fault. Can you take a picture and post it here so we can see what it looks like?
