Hi There, I just replaced the broken motherboard on my MacBook Pro 2013 and now I need to re-serialize my motherboard. Could someone post me either a link to the: Blank Board Serializer Tool that is compatible with the 2013 model or Apple Service Toolkit Tool that is compatible with the 2013 model Thanks!
You will need to go to an Apple Store for this. Bring documentation of the original systems purchase (matching the cases S/N). Apple uses a newer tool which is not even available at the stores, only the service depot has it. Apple controls this tool very tightly, it needs to communicate to Apple and be authorized. You can’t even use the older tool with the newest firmware releases on the older Mac’s either.
