Chosen Solution
So i replaced my iphone X earpiece speaker assembly because sound from it was crackling, but even with the new assembly installed, it still sounds the same. Could this be some sort of software issue? I hope Apple covers it if thats the case.
Turns out I underestimated how dirty the earpiece speaker can get. Went to the genius bar and they cleaned it out in less than 2 minutes. Guess I have a spare earpiece speaker now.
Did you check that the motherboard connector is clean and not damaged in any way? If everything looks fine it could me the audio IC, but usually if something is wrong with it you don’t get any sound at all.
Apple probably would have covered it but if you have opened your phone and done this yourself they will see that and probably refuse to do anything about it.
Have the same issue. Replaced the speaker, problem not solved. I clean all speaker and microphone holes, but same noisy ear speaker. Have you any idea for me? Thanks.
