iPad3. Last year I replaced my digitizer/screen with a new iFixit digitizer. Now, the left edge of the digitizer is dead to touch. The dead zone started about 1/8” wide and has grown to about 1/4” wide. Meanwhile the right edge is doing the same thing, about 1/8” wide. I keep it in a wraparound case and I noticed the left edge is starting to come unglued. Is this related? Can I fix this somehow, or do I need another digitizer?
Hi @wolfharper , I suggest that you contact ifixit regarding the problem with the touchscreen “dead zones”. It never hurts to ask According to their iPad 3/4 Screen Digitizer parts information, there is a lifetime warranty on their parts
Try re plugging the screen back in. If it doesn’t work, you will have to replace the digitizer again . Let me know results … thank you
