Sometimes the ringer switch switches on its own when I put my phone down and recently the lock button broke. I figured out that it must be the cable since these two buttons operatin on the same cable. I replaced the cable and lock button didnt work. I tried the phone with another motherboard, button didn’t work. EDIT: So the lock button didn’t work with a replacement cable and didn’t work with a another motherboard either. Now I assembled the “bad” lock button cable and the “bad” motherboard in the donor phone (where I got the cable)and everything works fine. Any ideas? Thanks!
Either a bad replacement cable or the job wasn’t done properly, can’t really find other explanations. Would recommend buying a cable with already installed switches to be on the safe side.
