Hello! I have a problem with my 15” Macbook Pro Mid 2014. My laptop’s touchpad has stopped working and after the replacement new battery and new trackpad nothing has changed… still not working. Ribbon cable socket is fine. Is any one know what’s going on? Please help :( Best
This series is a bit odd as unlike the older and still newer trackpad/touchpad’s the logic for the trackpad is on the cable!
You’ll need to replace both the trackpad and the cable, If you only replaced the trackpad you likely didn’t replace the needed part.
