Chosen Solution
I just replaced my battery, and when my mac’s plugged in, it works fine. However, it’s been charging for about 10 hours now, and the indicator light is still red. I also generated a system report on the battery and received the following info:
Try double checking every cable and connector is properly seated in place. If everything seems fine try your old battery again, to confirm it’s a battery issue. If you replaced the old battery because it wasn’t charging anymore, chances are cause and symptoms were mistaken and you purchased a good battery for a faulty board. A bad new battery may be also a possibility.
