I replaced with a battery ordered here. Had trouble with it not charging at first. did a PRAM and SMC reset and it was working. Now am having same problem again with the addition issue that it won’t even run off the power adapter. Power adapter is green but computer will not turn on. Sometimes it will start but then just shuts off
This is usually caused by liquid damage, you can either take the board out and inspect it carefully under a microscope to look for signs of corrosion (white marks / rust / burn marks) if you have one or take it to a reputable repair shop that does MacBook board repairs. It will require at least board level repairs done to it if the MacBook doesn’t turn on with the battery, battery indicator light, keyboard and trackpad unplugged.
