I have successfully replaced the battery and my laptop was working great, but when i plug in the power chord to the laptop it wont take a charge, the little green/orange light doesn’t come on and battery won’t charge. what else could be going on to prevent the computer from charging other than a poor battery?
I would make sure your MagSafe charger is in good shape and working! Do make sure you have a REAL Apple unit Apple 85W MagSafe Power Adapter (for 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pro) I would replace the MagSafe DC-In Board MacBook Pro 17" Unibody MagSafe DC-In Board Replacement MacBook Pro 17" Unibody (Early-Mid 2009) MagSafe DC-In Board[linked product missing or disabled: IF162-027-1]
