I want to fix my Galaxy S7 edge screen. I guess you would normally replace the whole screen, but i could maybe get away with just replacing the screen like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAdF_hNh… There are ways to get the glass off with heat or with cold. Should i try this? Or is it too risky? And further, if i settle with replacing the whole screen, where should i buy it? I could just wait for iFixit to start selling them, i asked via mail when they start selling them. And at last, i read that if you use B7000 glue to seal it it will keep it’s water resistance. I’m thinking about just leaving it as well, it’s just a bit annoying. Maybe i’ll get the Note 8 when it comes out, the S-Pen seems really nice, and i think i’ve heard the s8 is going to have software buttons so i’m guessing the Note 8 as well, well, i’ll see. I could try doing the glass-only repair if i get the Note 8, what would i have to lose ;D
Ask Samsung for screen replacement pricing. They are usually the best and cheapest.
Only change the glass has a risk to damage the display when repairing it , the best choice is replace a LCD and Digitizer assembly. You can get it in Etrade Supply or other phone parts online shop.
