Basically in my late 2009 21.5 inch iMac I am planning on replacing the SuperDrive with an SSD (for obvious reasons). However, I would still like to keep the SuperDrive and use it. Is there an external enclosure that I can purchase and put the drive in so I can use it externally? Thanks!
Of course - however you need the specs (model number and physical size/port) of your drive to find the right one. There are many external USB cases available for laptop drives… but the iMac drives could be physically larger so clearly discuss with your vendor before purchase the enclosure you intend to install the drive into. If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.
